Practical Experience

Niels Ettema and Ferniand Vos are the faces behind Duovorm's web store. Practical men who completely by chance rolled into the sale of furniture fittings. They both used to work as teachers of technical / woodworking at the vmbo and spent their evenings making furniture. Through furniture making, they found out that it is sometimes difficult to find the right furniture fittings. And that it is often only available in large quantities through wholesalers. The idea was born: Then start an online store themselves. They bought a bankruptcy lot and from their sheds they started selling furniture fittings online.

That struck a pretty good chord. More and more brands and products were added to the assortment and the number of orders increased. Soon the sheds were too small and teaching and furniture making became more and more secondary. In early 2017, the teachers resigned from school and became full-time entrepreneurs. Duovorm now supplies every conceivable furniture component to both companies and individuals from a sizable commercial building.

Since late 2021, the range has even expanded to include products from another niche. Indeed, in November 2021, Duovorm acquired Ceramic Tools B.V. Ceramic Tools consists of several webshops with tile tools.
