The ATAG Benelux Home Show is all about the latest developments in kitchen appliances, with brands such as ATAG, Pelgrim and ETNA. From energy-saving features to quiet design and ease of use, the innovations presented by these brands are based on trends, market research and consumer feedback.
We saw the new oven line ATAG 8 series presented as a preview in Duiven.
This is ATAG's most complete oven line to date, with various design options, but above all offering the user a lot of convenience and options. Sharon Wolters, Brand Marketing Manager at ATAG: "Our 8 series ovens respond to customer needs and so not only in terms of design, but also by responding to ease of use and innovative technology. This oven feels what you mean." With features that perfectly meet the needs of the modern consumer, ATAG not only brings practical solutions, but also offers a luxury user experience that characterizes the brand.
With the rise of open kitchens, where the kitchen is an extension of the living space, ATAG is committed to quiet and practical design. One of the highlights is the ATAG Elevate™, the brand's quietest cooktop with extraction, which produces less than 60 dB(A) while cooking. This allows you to have conversations without a problem, even while cooking. In addition to silence, the Elevate cooktop also offers precision with CelsiusCooking™ technology, which allows dishes to be prepared to the exact degree.
Pelgrim surprised at the Home Show with the stylish and versatile 8 Series Glass Black, a collection of ovens that fits perfectly into any kitchen thanks to its full-touch black glass design and TFT display. The ovens offer convenient automatic programs such as Airfry, defrost and quick preheat. The series also includes ovens with Pyrolysis and Microwave functions. "We want to bring an elegant addition to every kitchen with this series," says Bas van Eijsden, Category Manager ovens at ATAG Benelux.
Another crowd-pleaser at Pilgrim was the new oven with a special pizza program that allowed visitors to sample homemade pizzas. This oven can heat the pizza plate to as much as 350°C, so a crispy pizza is ready within minutes. Van Eijsden invited visitors to especially taste a slice. "This oven is the perfect must-have for any pizza lover," Bas said. The model includes five insert levels, including telescopic slides on one level, and has a pyrolysis cleaning function, making the oven easy to keep clean. The entry-level cooktop with TFT controls and the flexible, free-standing three-zone induction cooktop completed Pelgrim's range.
In addition to cooking innovations, Pelgrim also comes with an expansion of their dishwashers and refrigerators. For example, the new A-label dishwashers are super quiet, with only 38 dB(A) noise, and are equipped with smart features such as FanDry and ConnectLife. This technology allows you to control the dishwasher via the app and receive notifications when a program is completed. In terms of refrigerators, Pelgrim brings a line of quiet and durable D-label models with convenient features such as NoFrost and CrispZone drawers for keeping fruits and vegetables fresh for longer.
American refrigerators from ETNA are popular.
ETNA presented its latest products at the House Show under the theme "Data as an ingredient for success," which focuses on trends, consumer behavior and market data. Product/Category manager Hans Siebring says, "We want to offer consumers products that not only fit their kitchen, but also meet their daily needs." Using detailed data, ETNA has developed products ranging from energy-efficient dishwashers and refrigerators to high-end cooktops with extraction and an oven with pizza program.
ETNA's hob range includes the introduction of the KIF5462ZT, a 60 cm wide induction hob with dual, linkable octazones and horizontal slider controls. This cooktop is suitable for both 1- and 2-phase power management, allowing for flexible installation. ETNA also comes with a number of freestanding induction cooktops, including a matte black version. "We want to offer a wide range of cooktops that are not only energy efficient, but also affordable," Hans emphasizes.
For cooktops with extraction, ETNA introduces the AKI380ZT and the AKI580ZT. The AKI380ZT is an accessible entry-level model, while the more luxurious AKI580ZT offers additional options such as flex zones and recirculation Twin filters that can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. "Important detail of the AKI580ZT is its built-in depth of only 21 cm deep, which also makes this model suitable for
thinner countertops," Hans says.
ETNA is also betting on energy-efficient dishwashers with new A-label models, such as the VW838CP and VW938CP, which produce a noise level of just 38 dB(A) and feature upgrades such as a top basket with ball bearings and FanDry. "Energy efficiency is a priority for us, and we want to offer consumers the best possible choice," Hans explains. In July this year, ETNA conducted an independent survey of 500 consumers on energy efficiency in relation to kitchen appliances. This survey found that when buying a new dishwasher 55% of respondents considered price the most important factor, followed by energy label with 36%. ETNA's new VW441CP fits this bill perfectly: an entry-level model with energy label A. ETNA's range in dishwashers targets consumers who are both price and energy sensitive, with models like the VW441CP offering the perfect balance between price and energy efficiency.
Finally, ETNA presents an expansion in refrigerators, including a black American refrigerator with energy label D and a water and ice dispenser with fixed water connection. The line of built-in refrigerators and fridge-freezers has also been expanded with new D-label models that include convenient features such as SuperCool, FastFreeze and a door and temperature alarm.
