If you're talking to a kitchen professional and it's about the Küchenmeile, you'll immediately see a glint of pleasure appear in their eyes. Every year it's looking forward to seeing what goodies the numerous kitchen manufacturers and exhibitors at the various locations are offering again. Admittedly, it is a busy and exhausting week. But every year we go home full of inspiration and information about the latest innovations.
The closer we get to September, the faster our kitchen hearts begin to beat. This year we have Saturday, September 21 through Friday, September 27 marked in red in our calendar. The lure of the Küchenmeile, even in the more difficult times the kitchen sector is currently experiencing, is very strong. And in addition to the simultaneously organized open days of the various kitchen manufacturers, there are numerous additional locations where kitchen brands and manufacturers of kitchen delicacies showcase their novelties. The Gut Böckel estate is one such fun attraction. This estate among the vast fields of Rödinghausen will be transformed into a true kitchen paradise. On Sunday, September 22, there will be a Benelux evening for the second time. "The perfect opportunity to come and discover our novelties," echoes the organizing brands ATAG, Bauknecht, Beko, Caesarstone, Jetstone, Keller, Miele, SMEG and Whirlpool.
So Sunday evening, September 22, right on the first day, there will again be a genuine Benelux evening. "Last year we did this for the first time and it was an instant hit," say the participating brands in chorus. "The atmosphere was great, the attendees numerous and the conversations over a snack and a drink interesting and valuable. It was immediately clear that we would do this again. We find that the attraction of this wonderful venue as well as the presence of additional extensive representation from the low countries bring many visitors directly to Gut Böckel. So the Sunday evening at Gut Böckel is now known as the Benelux evening."
Of course, the organizing brands come to Gut Böckel with more than just snacks, drinks and fun company. All are putting their best foot forward and their novelties to make the trip more than worthwhile. In alphabetical order, we go over the showpieces.
At ATAG, they are pushing forward the quiet cooktop ATAG Elevate™ as the protagonist. "That is our quiet and most complete cooktop with integrated extraction," they sound. "During cooking, the cooktop produces less than 60 dB(A) of noise. That's so quiet you can have a conversation without raising your voice. With the revolutionary Celsius°Cooking™, integrated as standard in the ATAG Elevate™, you also immediately discover cooking to the degree. The very best dishes on the best equipment! And Chef Tim will demonstrate this extensively during various master classes."
The built-in range in full black design is the focus of Beko. "The harmonious design suits every kitchen style," says the manufacturer. "We combine this full black design with smart technologies, such as AeroPerfect technology, for example. This hot air system ensures optimal heat distribution in the oven, allowing the most delicious dishes to cook perfectly and evenly. Our user-friendly ovens thus provide the performance everyone has come to expect from us.
Bauknecht is showing a completely new collection of ovens and microwaves. This includes, for example, a 3-in-1 compact oven with traditional oven technology, steam and microwave. Notable feature: this oven does not have a dial. However, the Dynamic Crisp and CrispFry functions are integrated in this 45 cm high oven with a whopping 52 liter capacity. "Hassle-free cooking and baking on three levels," emphasizes Bauknecht.
Caesarstone: "Our true nature is reflected in the details. Through these we tell our history, reflect our world vision and show who we are. With delicate and meticulous vein structures, our new OOAK collection is inspired by the evolution of minerals that offers a unique design. A composite and ceramic collection crafted to reflect a home atmosphere that is perfectly suited to you."
"Come discover surprising composites and ceramics in Gut Böckel's Haferhaus," Jetstone invites. The Haferhaus will also be the place in 2024 where countertop manufacturer Jetstone is creating a space full of inspiration. "We are working together with trade fair partner Keller. In Keller's beautiful kitchen setups and interior solutions, we incorporate our ceramic and composite offerings in a challenging way and with craftsmanship. Last year we introduced ceramics from Caesarstone and this year we are also strengthening our offer with several new ceramics."
Keller: "In current trends, we see cool gray tones giving way to more warm tones and earthy shades. The new colors and decors are therefore situated in this pallet. We are also further expanding the range of handles and glass cabinets. But we are also introducing our bio-based kitchen enduura®. No primary raw materials are used in the production of this bio-based kitchen. We use residual streams from agriculture and industry."
The new Pearl Beige color for the handle-free built-in appliances in Miele's ArtLine series, officially presented at the EuroCucina in Milan, is also coming to Gut Böckel. The warm, neutral beige shade joins the existing colors graphite gray and obsidian black (matte or glossy) and adds additional design possibilities. The appliances of the ArtLine series, the design line within the Generation 7000 collection, stand out for their all-glass fronts and integrated displays. They open with a simple finger touch thanks to the integrated Touch2Open technology. The sensor button in the control panel unlocks the door automatically and it then opens in one
smooth motion.
SMEG is unpacking its full collection of built-in appliances and design lines at Gut Böckel. The Italian manufacturer is adding a new collection of refrigerators called Dolomite, which brings together professional technology and aesthetic design. Each model is equipped with a photo-catalytic filter technology that has been proven to effectively reduce a large proportion of bacteria and odors in the refrigerator. Food stays fresh longer as a result. An additional element that highlights Dolomite's quality and technical precision is the advanced lighting concept that ensures a perfectly lit interior space. In addition to refrigerators and freezers, the Dolomite range also includes wine refrigerators. "Creative placement of these appliances offers opportunities to make every kitchen unique," outlines the manufacturer.
More drawers, less thinking. The motto of Whirlpool's MaxiSpace dishwasher is music to your ears. A clever motor modification allows the MaxiSpace dishwasher 10% to have more space inside with the same dimensions as a standard dishwasher. In turn, the modular three-shelf system provides space for larger items. Tall glasses go in the upper rack, wine glasses and plates up to 19 cm in the middle rack and extra-large plates up to 32 cm in the lower rack. The top rack has its own rinsing system, the SpaceClean zone, with integrated water jets that ensure every nook and cranny is reached.
