Excellent atmosphere at DeFabrique in Utrecht

The annual meeting of DER KREIS was organized from the beautiful surroundings of event location DeFabrique in Utrecht. This annual meeting centered on the theme "visibility of entrepreneurship. DER KREIS embraced the meeting to connect with its participants, suppliers and press. She coupled plenty of humor and positivism with her presentations and spoke confidently about the future.

There was an excellent atmosphere in Utrecht. Participants, suppliers and press went to DeFabrique to catch up with each other. The supplier market is back again and that gets the networking going well. The performance, this year with singer Do & band, was enthusiastically received by the approximately 500 visitors to the annual meeting of DER KREIS. There was particular discussion after all the presentations about Alexander Klöpping's presentation on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Alexander, who is best known for his appearances at the table of De Wereld Draait Door (DWDD), showed the occasionally bewildered audience what is possible with AI. And the answer is: everything. Alexanders story confirmed, on the one hand, that AI can feel quite exciting. Especially about what is true and what is not, but also that AI brings with it unprecedented possibilities. Also for retailers. It was clear from the audience that some entrepreneurs are quite open to it, only that they still feel the need to be taken by the hand and thus be able to step out of limbo. Especially the demonstrated self-learning system of AI gives opportunities, as it has been proven that AI is above all an excellent learner. What Artificial Intelligence cannot do now, it will probably be able to do in a few months as it develops at an incredibly fast pace.

Alexander's story gave a glimpse into the future. A good choice, because this is where
participants of DER KREIS also needed. DER KREIS also presented its annual figures. The conclusion communicated by Managing director sales & marketing Nathalie Kleinherenbrink-Bakker and Managing director finance & purchasing Bart Opentij of DER KREIS Netherlands is that DER KREIS outperformed the market in terms of sales by percentage in 2023.

More participants

DER KREIS credited more participants to its membership base internationally. In addition, the sales value of the average kitchen increased. 

At the annual meeting, DER KREIS showed that it looks to the future with great confidence. It looks forward to 2025 with great anticipation. For the time being, this seems to be the year when inflation falls. And as shown in the past, that is the time for consumers to start investing more in more expensive purchases, such as kitchens and bathrooms. The industry and DER KREIS participants will absolutely be ready for it then, probably even then with the qualitative help of Artificial Intelligence.
