Bruynzeel Kitchens to 100% circular

Bruynzeel Kitchens is introducing a new circular kitchen concept at PROVADA 2021. The study model is made of innovative, bio-based sheet material that can be completely recycled and without adding additional raw materials, converted into a new kitchen. A kitchen for a kitchen.

The finishing touches have also been considered. The handles and knobs are made from ocean plastic such as old fishing nets and ropes. This not only contributes to clean oceans, but also reduces the demand for new raw materials. The cutlery inserts are made from biodegradable material; thus 100% renewable!

With appliances, even more attention to sustainability. The extractor with herb roof features a plasma filter that not only removes odors, but also eliminates particulate matter, allergens and pathogens. And in the plant cube, people grow their own salads and herbs. Thus, there is less demand for refrigerated transportation which reduces the carbon footprint.

Also at the booth are sustainable Greengridz^® worksheets on display and will reflect on packaging-free shopping.

With the development of the circular kitchen, Bruynzeel is responding to the current raw materials issue. Prices for (waste) paper, cellulose pulp, wood, etc. keep rising due to global scarcity. This shows even more the need to accelerate towards a circular economy, to gain control over the total flow of raw materials and to see less dependence on new raw materials from faraway places.

With the Dutch government's goals of having a 50% circular economy by 2030 and even 100% by 2050, they are not sitting still.
