Innovation power throws high marks
An eye-catcher par excellence in ELICA's range, the fully customizable Lullaby.

Innovation power throws high marks

Traditionally these are located above the cooktop, although in recent years we have seen alternatives appear with extraction in the cooktop itself. ELICA is at home in all markets when it comes to extractor hoods.

In recent years we have seen the rise of worktop and cooktop extractors. ELICA also coupled technological capabilities with an aesthetic asset and developed some models in both these segments. But at the same time, the Italian manufacturer remained fully committed to developing its ceiling-mounted
units, even during the corona pandemic with associated lockdowns. While paying attention to both the design of the models (and their high level of finish) and the extraction performance (high extraction capacity, mouse-quiet operation).

Hilight-X, with its shallow installation depth of only 16 centimeters is a space-saving solution.

A new revolution

The range of ceiling units from ELICA can safely be called enormous. "A whole range of different types," confirms Jan de Moor of ELICA BeNeLux. "With this, we cater to the many possible kitchen styles and wishes of consumers." A standout among the ceiling units, moreover a recent addition to the range, is the Lullaby. "A fantastic product, like an eclectic piece of furniture that combines extraction, lighting and furniture," says De Moor. Lullaby is a plug-and-play surface-mounted unit that is fully customizable. Different shapes, two colors (white lacquered wood or natural wood), recirculation or air extraction: the choice is free. Thanks to high-performance filters, ELICA achieves maximum filtration performance, Comfort Silence technology ensures that Lullaby does its work without disturbing conversations between those present.

Skylight

What Lullaby is to the surface-mounted units, Skydome is to the recessed versions: a ceiling extractor where design and functionality go hand in hand. "Skydome is like an elegant window in the ceiling that also provides even, diffused light thanks to a full-led lighting system," De Moor outlines.

"In addition, the brightness can be controlled, as can the warmth of the white light (2400K when a warm atmosphere is needed up to 5000K which is ideal for preparing dishes). The hood extracts all the way around and does so silently and powerfully thanks to Comfort Silence technology. In addition to the classic built-in depth of 30 centimeters, Skydome now also exists in a version with only 16 centimeters of built-in depth, ideal for those situations where suspended ceilings leave little installation space.

Skydome looks like an elegant window in the ceiling.

Follow the trend

Hilight-X is a trendsetter. On the one hand as one of the first built-in units of which a version with 16 centimeter built-in depth was also developed, on the other hand an appliance that will soon also be available in black. "Black is still the trend color in the kitchen," De Moor knows. "Appliances, faucets, worktop, accessories, everything is available in black. And now so is the Hilight range hood. The double LED strip along the entire length of the unit remains, as do the very powerful motors that guarantee strong extraction results at a low noise level."
