Eddy van Tongeren has now been on the road for more than a year as General Manager at the Italian company Falmec. As soon as we shake his hand, we see that he is doing well. Eddy is beaming and then he is at his best for an organization. "I have a great time at Falmec. The lines of communication with our Italian colleagues are short and that works very pleasant."

Eddy's previous positions have included extensive experience with family-owned Italian companies. The General Manager also has experience in building on a brand. Especially when there are unique selling points in his case. Consequently, he is really enjoying his time at Falmec. "With all of Falmec's extraction products, we offer high quality as standard. That already works nicely. Not for nothing do we offer a five-year warranty on every appliance. So this also applies to popular extractor hoods like Spazio, Light Bronze and the Shelf."

What sets Falmec apart is their constant drive for innovation. This is reflected in their various technological advances, such as the Noise Reduction System (NRS), which provides exceptionally quiet range hoods with a noise reduction of 86 percent. The secret behind this quiet operation lies in the detailed research into airflow and the use of high-quality materials, which reduce noise to almost imperceptible levels.

Another feature of Falmec's innovative products is Carbon Zeo technology. the use of activated carbon and zeolite in their filtration systems. Zeolite is a mineral with a high absorption capacity for organic compounds and water vapor. Thanks to the micro porous nature and chemical properties of zeolite, heat is given off on contact with moisture, resulting in a significant reduction in odor formation and water vapor in the kitchen. In addition, Falmec's carbon zeolite filter can be easily cleaned and maintained, lasting up to 3.5 years with normal use. After one year, the filter can be regenerated by placing it in a 200°C oven for two hours.

Induction cooktop with integrated extraction

Falmec also uses the power of Carbon Zeolite filter in the popular induction with built-in extraction. For example, one can choose the Zero Easy. With 4 cooking zones, 9 cooking levels plus a booster. The Zero Easy is plug-and-play, which makes installation quite easy. The filter is accessible from the top which simplifies cleaning.

A unique cooktop with extraction in the range is the Brera. It is slightly different in terms of extraction than we have been used to in recent years. For cooking enthusiasts who want to be able to move pans around freely, this 89 cm induction cooktop is really an important addition. This is because the Brera has the extraction section placed at the back of the induction cooktop. Furthermore, this cooktop has specifications such as warm-up function up to 70 degrees and a residual heat indicator. Moreover, sensors recognize the pan, increasing the freedom of moving the pan.

The Quantum Pro Easy completes the range. An induction cooktop with extraction in the center, equipped with automatic pledge detection. The extraction is triggered immediately when the cooktop is in use. In addition, this induction cooktop includes a double bridge function that offers many options for today's hobby cooks and a brushless motor that keeps the decibels low at 69 dB.
