The green carpet outside at the main entrance during AEG's house show was no surprise. During the September trade shows, it already drew a lot of attention to its sustainable portfolio. The EcoLine appliances are now more visible than ever and this was reaffirmed during the 'Impact for a Fact' house show. Additional news came from Sweden with the return of Electrolux.

Facts...that's what AEG's house show was all about. Demonstrating what makes the product sustainable and why it fits within EcoLine's product selection. Consumer Activation Manager Marsha van der Laan-Vis outlined her organization's plans in just a few sentences. "With the AEG EcoLine range, it becomes clearer to consumers which sustainable choices can be made. The selection we make are the most sustainable models that are
we offer within each product group."

In fact, research by AEG has shown that consumers are beginning to consider sustainable products increasingly important. As many as 93% of consumers want to live more sustainably, of which 88% are looking for help in making environmentally friendly choices. The AEG EcoLine range, as envisioned by AEG, offers a clear solution for this.
One product group that has been receiving sustainable attention within AEG for several years is refrigeration and freezing. The EcoLine range includes all built-in fridge-freezer combinations from energy label D. The advantage is that, thanks to the experience gained at AEG, sustainability and product development go hand in hand. Examples of this are GreenZone+ and Cooling 360°C, which keep food fresh for longer and thus treat our food sustainably. The interior of this range is made of recycled plastic.
Sometimes there are innovations that not only create better conditions, but are also more beautiful. In our opinion, this is the case with stainless steel-backed refrigerators. Not only does this make the refrigerator room manage to avoid fluctuating temperatures better, but the cabinet also immediately looks a lot more chic. This has been used in the AEG NSC9V181CS, among others. This 9000-series refrigerator-freezer combination enjoys a C label and is fully prepared to meet the needs of today's consumers, so it is both durable and smart. Through the smartphone the temperature can be controlled, but also users can select programs through the app. In the MultiChill 0º drawer one can use this to adjust the temperature.

For lovers of a more spacious but also sustainable refrigerator-freezer, AEG is coming out with a new MaxiSpace. At the end of 2023, AEG launched a version with energy label D. In September 2024, the new MaxiSpace will even come on the market with energy label C. Many retailers are probably waiting anxiously for this model. After all, kitchen cabinet suppliers are coming out with standard cabinets 75cm wide, the size of the MaxiSpace. This was previously not possible. Furthermore, AEG showed dishwashers (with energy label
A through C) and induction cooktops within range of EcoLine. AEG EcoLine ovens feature a steam cleaning option, which uses as much as 95% less energy compared to pyrolytic cleaning.
Matt black and scratch-resistant; the AEG SaphirMatt induction hobs offer the best of both worlds in this. Already created a furor during the Küchenmeile, but too unique not to show again. Marsha is also pleased with this addition: "The popular matte black finish that we see a lot in appliances from AEG is also going to be seen in the new SaphirMatt hobs this year. The unique SaphirMatt ceramic glass is designed to withstand daily use and wear and tear, such as pans being dragged across the cooktop, without scratching."
In addition to all the new products, there was also organizational news to report for Electrolux Home Products Netherlands. The Electrolux brand will again become available for kitchen retail and take over Zanussi's spot. The latter brand will be phased out in 2024.
