To the millimeter. And, more!
The 3D laser technology works very simply. It is placed in the room to be measured and measurement can begin immediately.

Down to the millimeter. And, more!

3D laser technology measures everything for kitchen installation

What is the kitchen consumer's big fear? Exactly! That the kitchen has not been measured properly, that there will be "hassles" and that the consumer's courage will sink in because the kitchen cannot be built in properly.

These discussions are held just a little too often. With all their consequences. However, as far as Dirk Grit, Country Manager at Pos Service Group is concerned, these discussions are a thing of the past. "You just have to make sure that the measuring is done properly. It's as simple as that. And that measuring in can be done to the millimeter."

"After all, you want to avoid unnecessary costs. Not that the mechanic needs to be blamed for that, because he assumes what was measured earlier. This is precisely why it makes sense that the measuring is done at the highest professional level possible," says Dirk.

"We can do that. We developed the 3D laser measurement for POS kitchen planners. With this technology we ensure that we literally send the most accurate measurement to any kitchen planner, after which it can be uploaded into any common kitchen planning software. This is no luxury because measuring sloping walls, the difference in level in corners, can make just the difference in whether something is correct or not. This is quite common in old buildings but even in new construction you don't want to take the risk."

Promise

So governing is looking ahead, according to Dirk, who explains that by now eight colleagues are already measuring in on consumers every day throughout the country with the advanced technology. "We do more, by the way. For example, we check whether the delivery of the kitchen components does not pose any problems. For example, a (too) narrow staircase to the top with an awkward curve. We look at parking options. We also inform the kitchen specialty stores -our clients- whether or not there are on-site waivers on which to deliver. We also take pictures of power connections. Or, we indicate where, for example, there are unevennesses in the tiling. Yes, every millimeter can make a difference. In other words, every millimeter can create hassle. In short, we create a complete picture for the kitchen specialist, who can therefore make an important promise to the consumer, who is happily looking forward to his new kitchen: 'Sir, madam, everything will be fine. Don't worry!'"

Dirk Grit: "The mechanics at the kitchen stores see and experience less to no hassle."

Dirk explains that Pos Service Group has been active in the Netherlands for more than 30 years but only since 5 years this unique 3D laser technology for measuring kitchens has been introduced here. "Especially in the last two years we notice that our awareness has increased," Dirk says. "It's starting to sing around well. It could hardly be otherwise, because not only consumers but also the fitters of the kitchen specialists see and experience that they have less to no hassle."

When asked if Dirk and his colleagues can guarantee that surveying is always error-free, Dirk is immediately clear. "Okay, fair is fair. Of course, setting up that laser is basically human work. But, we do guarantee that the measurement results are correct. Should it not have gone right for whatever reason, the costs are ours. At the same time, I dare say here that this has practically never happened."
